2014
Start of research at the CEA on fluid monitoring in critical environments, inspired by the Fukushima accident. Development of the first sensors and signal processing algorithms, the technological foundation of fluiidd.
2020
Mathieu Darnajou defends his thesis at the CEA. Thanks to the Magellan spin-off program, the technology is taking a leap forward, moving from fundamental research to an entrepreneurial project.
2023
Official creation of fluiidd as a simplified joint stock company (SAS) in La Ciotat, by Mathieu Darnajou and Philippe Guenebaud, with the CEA as a partner. The company becomes the CEA's 250th spin-off, adopts the status of a mission-driven company from its inception, and wins the prestigious i-Lab award from the France 2030 plan.
2024
Design of the first minimum viable product (MVP). Research work is being redesigned to meet the specific needs of the industry. Strategic partnerships are being strengthened, particularly in the areas of multiphase monitoring and energy optimization.
2025
Fundraising of approximately €1.2 million to support industrialization and international expansion. The team grows to around ten employees. Fluiidd receives the Most Promising Startup award at VivaTech 2025. The product is CE and FCC certified, and the company diversifies into the nuclear, maritime defense, agri-food, and mining production markets.
