OUR STORY

10+ years of innovation.

The fluiidd project emerged in 2013 within the French Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies Commission as part of an R&D program on future nuclear reactors. After completing his thesis in 2020, Mathieu Darnajou initiated the start-up project through the CEA's Magellan incubation program. During this phase, he formed a cohesive team around fluiidd that achieved significant progress, ranging from technological maturation to market studies, culminating in the award of the i-lab prize in 2023 by the French government through the France 2030 plan.

At the conclusion of the Magellan program, Mathieu Darnajou crossed paths with Philippe Guenebaud, founder and leader of IoT companies. The results of market studies conducted during this period clearly demonstrated a strong demand for the technological solution proposed by fluiidd.

Based on these validations, Mathieu Darnajou, Philippe Guenebaud, and CEA jointly decided to establish the fluiidd company at the end of 2023. This promising collaboration is the result of a shared vision to respond in an innovative and effective manner to the urgent needs of predictive maintenance in process plants.

USE CASES

Nuclear, Water, Food, Semiconductor industries...

High pressure & High temperature flow measurements

In collaboration with Framatome GmbH, we developed a robust sensor capable of measuring two-phase water/air flows under extreme conditions—330 bar pressure and 600°C temperature—in a nuclear reactor. With no current solutions available, our sensor passed rigorous tests, offering a groundbreaking approach to monitor challenging environments, ensuring safety and reliability in critical processes.
Flow classification and alert with neural networks

Our industrial stainless steel sensor, developed with the major pump manufacturer, accurately detects risky flow patterns like cavitation, dry run, and water hammer in pumps. Utilizing AI, it monitors two-phase water/air flows and immediately alerts when a threat is detected, ensuring pump safety and reducing downtime. This innovation enhances reliability and efficiency in industrial pump operations.
Real-time fluid anomaly detection with neural networks

We successfully tested our fluiidd process scanner at STMicroelectronics in Toulon. By simulating clogging and jamming in their hydraulic test loop, our technology gathered critical data to predict equipment faults. The promising results highlight our solution's effectiveness in detecting defects, paving the way for future advancements in predictive maintenance and robust process monitoring.
