Features

Real-time detection

See everything that's flowing through your pipes.

Most industrial losses result from phenomena that your current sensors do not detect. The SCAN42 provides you with a continuous view of the fluid: its anomalies, phase changes, and cycle transitions.

  • Take action before a breakdown occurs, not after.

Cavitation, dry running, foreign objects, clogging, biofilm: detected before they become a problem.

  • Reduce waste by optimizing your production cycles.

End of production, CIP, restart: each transition is identified immediately.

  • No phenomenon goes unnoticed.

31,250 frames per second, visible even at 300 m/s.

  • Alerts in just a few milliseconds, without the cloud.

    Fully embedded data processing.

Embedded Intelligence

AI that learns your process.

The SCAN42 features a model trained on your data. The analysis is performed within the scanner's electronics, in real time, without requiring a network connection during operation.

  • The treatment takes place inside the CT scanner.

Local analysis, immediate response. No network latency, no external dependencies during operation.

  • A model tailored to your system.

Trained with you on your fluids, your cycles, and your actual operating conditions. It recognizes what's normal for your line and what isn't.

  • Multiple anomaly categories detected.

Each type of event is uniquely identified and reported along with its nature.

Seamless integration

Easy installation, it only takes a few hours.

The SCAN42 adapts to your system: custom flanges, standard connections, and native SCADA compatibility.

  • Custom-machined flange; no on-site adjustments required.

DN15 to DN2000, DIN, ISO, Clamps, and SMS connections: it connects to your lines without any intermediate parts.

  • Plug in, connect, monitor.

Integrated OPC-UA output and digital relay. Compatible with all standard SCADA systems and PLCs.

  • Pump, pipe, or valve: each measurement point has its own rationale.

Suction-type installation, straight section, upstream of the valve.

  • No impact on your process.

Flush-mounted electrodes, no pressure drop, no impact on flow rate.

Nuclear Industry - Framatome GmbH

Measuring two-phase flows at 330 bar and 600 °C.

The problem

Framatome needed to monitor two-phase water/air flows under extreme conditions: 330 bar of pressure and 600 °C. No solution was available on the market that could handle these conditions.

The fluiidd solution

The SCAN42 has been deployed and tested under conditions similar to those of a power plant's primary circuit. It successfully passed rigorous testing.

Dairy Industry

Optimize CIP cycles to reduce milk and water losses.

The problem

Excessive safety margins in the rinsing cycles led to recurring milk losses and unnecessary water consumption. The milk-water interface was not visible.

The fluiidd solution

The SCAN42 detects the exact interface between the product and the rinse water in 1 ms. Valves open and close with millimeter precision, resulting in zero dilution and zero loss.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before requesting a demo.

Understanding the Technology

display-none
How can you detect cavitation in an industrial pump?

Cavitation manifests as the formation of bubbles that implode within the fluid and remains undetectable by pressure or flow sensors. The SCAN42 detects it in real time by analyzing the fluid’s signature via electrical tomography as soon as the first micro-anomalies appear. The alert is triggered before any damage occurs to the equipment.

How does the SCAN42 work?

The SCAN42 uses electrical tomography to continuously generate an image of the fluid flowing through your pipe. Several flush-mounted electrodes measure conductivity and temperature. Onboard AI analyzes this data in real time and identifies anomalies. Everything happens within the device itself; no cloud connection is required.

What is electrical tomography?

It is a non-intrusive imaging technology that uses electrical measurements to reconstruct a cross-sectional image of what lies inside a volume. Originally developed at the CEA for nuclear reactor safety (post-Fukushima program), it is now being adapted by fluiidd for the monitoring of industrial fluids.

Does the SCAN42 require a cloud connection?

No. Once deployed, the AI runs entirely locally on the electronic control unit. The SCAN42 can send alerts to your SCADA system or PLC via OPC-UA.

Compatibility and Installation

display-none
Does the SCAN42 work with all fluids?

The SCAN42 works with all conductive fluids: water, acids, food-grade liquids, complex solutions, and fluids containing solids. To verify compatibility with your application, please contact us.

What pressure and temperature can the SCAN42 withstand?

In its standard configuration, the SCAN42 operates between 1 and 40 bar and at temperatures typical in industrial applications (food processing, water, and chemicals). For high-pressure applications up to 330 bar and high-temperature applications up to 600 °C, we offer specialized versions (the Enhanced series, qualified by Framatome). Contact us to determine the right solution for your facility.

Does the SCAN42 come into direct contact with the fluid?

Only the flush-mounted electrodes come into contact with the fluid. The SCAN42 does not cause any pressure drop in your process. Your flow performance remains unaffected.

How does the SCAN42 detect corrosion or scale buildup?

Through a combined analysis of conductivity and temperature, processed by on-board AI. Detection is automatic, continuous, and requires no human intervention to operate.
